Available: 1965 to 1966
Brief history of car:
Although offered for sale the TX 1 was pretty much a prototype for what was to become the TX GT. The price at the time was ?1,175 before purchase tax.
Designed by Torix Bennett the car incorporated a patented rear suspension using transverse rods and trailing links. Based around a Triumph GT6 chassis the TX 1 used either Triumph or Ford Cortina GT power.
A high quality finish for it's day the TX range got good press. Bodywork was fibreglass and finish and build quality was said to be good. The TX 1 was short lived and superseeded by the TX GT and TX S and TX SS.
