Brief history of car:
We have referred to this car as the 950 Sports here but it is also known just as the Turner Sports. This was the natural progression from the Turner 950 and was Turners best selling car. Bodywork was revised with a new front end and more subtle fins on the rear.
The Mk1 started off with the A35 950cc engine (hence initially calling it the 950 Sports) and went through two further model changes referred to as the Mk2 and Mk3 where Ford and Coventry Climax engines were fitted.
The Mk3 had slight body modifications in the shape of a bonnet scoop and some used the Ford 1500cc engine from the Anglia and Triumph front suspension (from Mk2 onwards). The Turner Sports was the most popular model in the Turner range and the one you are most likely to see having sold several hundred during production. Much sought after now and command high prices.
